It’s so well decorated and very clean everywhere. It felt like your own home and It was extremely neat and clear. The rooms and kitchen are well equipped and very very clean. Highly recommend this property!

Aayna homestay, very near to Santiniketan Visva Bharati University campus which is just 5 minutes away. Homestay offers cosy, very cool, quite and artistic atmosphere with AC accommodation and complimentary breakfast. Homestay offers full 1st Floor for 5 Guests with Two Rooms, One Big room and One Medium room, One kitchen room, One bathroom. The Accommodation has 2 Double Beds and 1 Single Bed. Extra Beds @ Rs. 500/- each can be provided for maximum 3 extra guests.

 

Everything about this stay is perfect.
Cleanliness was top-notch. The surroundings were very calm and quiet. The rooms were very large. The owner was polite and prepared for everything. The house was filled with beautiful paintings the owner made (there were pretty paintings by his daughter too). If you’re deciding to stay in shantiniketan for a couple of days then I would highly recommend choosing this accommodation. Only good things to say about this place.

শান্তিনিকেতন কলকাতা থেকে রেল ও সড়কপথে ভালোভাবে সংযুক্ত। শান্তিনিকেতন থেকে মাত্র 3 কিমি দূরে বোলপুর রেলওয়ে স্টেশন হল নিকটতম স্টেশন।

Shanti Niketan is a peaceful village town located at just 155 km from Kolkata in West Bengal. It is known world over for Visva Bharati University and its contribution to education, arts and literature.

There is a lot to do in and around Shantiniketan. Rabidranath Tagore’s residence, the Uttarayan Complex, made up of five houses built during different phases of his life, is one of the most popular destinations in town. Upasanagriha, a prayer house made with Belgium glass; Chhatimtala, where the Rabindranath Tagor’s father Maharshi Devendranath Tagore used to meditate; and Amrakunja, open air classrooms under large trees are some interesting places within the campus. The arts department, Kala Bhavan is also a must visit. The local craftsmen and women of the area set up the Saturday market by the river in Sonajhuri Forest. It is a great place to shop directly from artisans at throwaway prices, enjoy authentic Santhali food, and experience Baul music.

Shantiniketan is well connected by rail and road from Kolkata. Bolpur Railway station is the nearest station just 3 kms from Shantiniketan.
